The Los Angeles Southern Baptist Association (LASBA) of churches seeks a Director of Missions to serve our pastors and churches to fulfill our mission:

To develop Christ-centered churches and strengthen our pastors.

Principal Function: To provide responsible leadership in the work of the Association to develop Christ-centered churches and strengthen our pastors through the basic functions of building personal relationships, administration, leadership, counsel to pastors and church staff, interpretation and communication of information, and effective public relations; To cooperate with the churches and pastors of the Association in developing their maximum efficiency and effectiveness; To cooperate with the California Southern Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention in fulfilling his responsibilities.

Employed By: Los Angeles Southern Baptist Association Executive Board and Messengers at the Association's annual meeting.

Supervised By: The LASBA Executive Leadership Council directly, and the Executive Board and Annual Messengers ultimately.

The ideal candidate would:

(1) have been ordained as a pastor by a gospel church for pastoral ministry.

(2) have experience working with Christians of different ethnic backgrounds.

(3) Endorse, uphold, and pursue the Baptist Faith and Message.
